Competing at state in Eugene, the Celts claimed second place in the 4x400 relay.

Celt teams took second place at the district track and field meet, with 12 athletes advancing to state March 29. McNary also had the district's coach of the year, Amanda Gentry, and assistant of the year, Lynn Piper.

The Celts defeated Westview's Wildcats en route to the second round of state softball playoff action.

Monday is no holiday for local ball teams as state playoffs start. McNary softball plays at home in the opening road while the baseball team travels.

Sponsors can claim the naming of the entire sports complex, fields and the concession stand at the turf complex in Keizer Rapids Park.

Keizer's Kevin Vignery honed his skills at cornhole over a decade, and this season is competing on a professional level.

McNary's baseball team hits the road for its final game of the season, taking on Sandy in a nonleague game on Thursday, May 21.

They walked, sprinted and hit the trail in the 2026 KeizerFEST 5K Fun Run and 2-Mile Walk, held Sunday, May 17, at Keizer Rapids Park.
