If you have an artistic or cooking talent, Claggett Creek Middle School is looking for you. The school will hold its first fall festival on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4 and 5, and will include a chili cook-off, a pie bake-off and a Keizer talent show.

Lisa Buik, an organizer, stresses that anyone can enter the three contests, not just those with connections to Claggett Creek Middle School.

The chili cook-off  which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 1 to 2 p.m. is for adults and children. There will only be 10 slots each for the adult and children’s categories. There is a $5 entry fee for the adult category, but free for children’s entrees.

The pie bake-off will take place on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 3 to 4 p.m. There are 10 slots each for adults and children in this contest as well. Adult entry fee is $5 while children’s entrees are free.

Those whose talents are more musical are invited to enter the Keizer’s Got Talent contest on Saturday, Oct. 4, starting at 11 a.m. There are 30 slots of this contest. The cost to enter is $20 per act. The winning act will win a cash prize of $150.
