Phillipine disaster help

Typhoon Haiyan slammed into the Phillipines last week before it moved onto Vietnam. It is one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in the world.

Scenes of wide swaths of devastation in Tacloban are heartbreaking. The death toll could reach into the many thousands. A way of life in the archipelago has been destroyed; it will take years to recover and rebuild. Hundreds of thousands of Fillipinos have lost their homes and their livelihoods.

Rescue and recovery efforts started immediately from countries and organizations around the globe.

Generous and sentimental Americans don’t like to see other people suffer and want to help in anyway they can.

The best for Keizer residents to help is to donate money to the rescue organizations that are on the ground there now. The Red Cross and the Salvation Army are experienced in relief efforts and accepting donations to help.

When disaster strikes in the world Americans are first in line when it come to help, regardless of where it is and who the victims are. American exports many things but one of the most important is our generosity in the face of tragedy.
