There is finally a lasting tribute to a Keizer son.

The public is invited to attend a dedication ceremony and sign unveiling for the Pfc. Ryan J. Hill Memorial Park next Friday, Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m.

The ceremony will be held at the northern side of the park, near the foot bridge just south of Panera Bread in Keizer Station. The park is near the intersection of Keizer Station Boulevard and Stadium Drive, across from McDonald’s and Men’s Wearhouse.

State Rep. Kim Thatcher (R-Keizer) will be attending and speaking. Representatives from the military have also been invited.

The McNary High School JROTC will be providing the color guard for the ceremony, while the Oregon Veterans Affairs office has also been invited. Pfc. Hill’s family is expected to be at the ceremony.
