Two Keizer State Farm insurance agents are teaming up in an effort to possibly bring a major grant and even a concert to McNary High School.

Agents Joe Guerra and Sam Goesch are joining forces to promote an online contest and driver’s education campaign being sponsored nationally by State Farm.

“It’s a win-win for everyone,” said Guerra. “McNary High School has the chance to receive a grant from State Farm, the community has a chance to host a concert by Kelly Clarkson and, as insurance agents, we get a bit more driver education throughout the area.”

Between Oct. 18 and 26, the Celebrate My Drive contest encourages anyone in the community to visit www.celebratemydrive.com and pledge to develop safe driving habits or discuss them with teen drivers. Anyone older than 14 can take the pledge, and the website also features quizzes, games and interactive lessons regarding safe driving habits. Supporters can take the pledge once a day during the contest timeframe, which coincides with National Teen Driver Safety Week.
