The McNary High School varsity volleyball team waged all-out war with Lincoln High School Tuesday, Sept. 10.

“It was one of the best games we’ve had all year. We had good communication, we just need to learn to keep it going through all five sets,” said Celtic junior Lauren Hudgins.

The Lady Celts lost the match 3-2, but they didn’t let the Cardinals off easy. McNary started with a 25-19 set win, then the Cardinals evened it up with a 25-14 set win. The Lady Celts came back over the top to take the third set 25-20, but Lincoln won the final two with scores of  25-20 and 15-6.

“We just have to figure out how to go to that next step and get the win,” said junior Haley Herrin.
