The season ended for the Volcanoes Sept. 4 as the Boise Hawks resumed their usual way of beating Salem-Keizer, using 12 hits to whip their hosts 11-7.

This season was a great comeback from 2012 for the Volcanoes, but two Southern Division playoff games with the Hawks, the first in Boise and the second at home, kept them from reaching the Northwest League finals. After a two-run Boise first inning, the Volcanoes went ahead by a run in the second, but the visitors scored five times in the third and led the rest of the way.
