Trailing 3-0 in bottom of the fifth in the Valley League Championship game, Keizer Celt Jadon Mansur started things off by making it to first after being hit by a pitch.
Noah Bach followed up with a single that set the table for Joel Knight’s stand-up triple to center field that scored Mansur and Bach.
After a line drive for the first out of the inning, Bryce Campbell came up to bat and hit a single up the middle, scoring Knight from third to tie the score up at three apiece. Campbell then stole second base, and then advanced to third on a fielders choice by the Central pitcher. With two outs and down in the count 0-2, Layton Thurlow hit a ball in the hole that the Central short stop fielded, but could not get to first in time, allowing Campbell to score the go-ahead run.
