The 2013-14 budget of the Salem-Keizer School District was adopted at Tuesday’s School Board meeting.

Adoption was by a 5-0 vote. Two directors, chairperson Nancy MacMorris-Adix and Jim Green, declared possible conflicts of interest, Green because of his employment by the Oregon School Boards Association, to which the district pays dues, MacMorris-Adix because her husband is a district employee.

The budget, which reflects the latest reductions in funds available to the district, totals $563,891,655.  It consists of a $367,970,768 general fund, debt service funds totaling $41,434,712, special revenue funds totaling $74,008,242, internal service funds totaling $24,198,671, a $480,000 enterprise fund and a $34,100 trust fund.

The board also adopted and appropriated grant budgets of $81,000 for administrators participating in the Principal Leadership Cadre and $11,145 for the Engineering & Technology Industry Council at West Salem High School.
