For the Keizertimes
Sale of the Middle Grove School property was taken off the agenda of Tuesday’s Salem-Keizer School Board meeting.
At its April meeting, the board learned from Paul Dakopolos, the district’s legal counsel, that although a quiet-title action would be needed to sell the land, there was a 98 percent chance of success. The board last month authorized Dakopolos’ firm, Garrett Hemann Robertson, to seek the quiet title.
Tuesday’s tabling of the issue came because the district administration, according to Mary Paulson, chief of staff, had not been able to decide on final details of the proposed sale.
Also Tuesday, the board elected two candidates for two board positions of the Willamette Education Service District. The two are Phil Frey of Keizer and Larry Trott of Salem.
