The McNary High School varsity baseball team again finds itself struggling to snap a losing skid, but the prospect of a play-in game that could launch the team into the playoffs has players hanging on to hope.

“We’re trying to get hot in all aspects of the game. The teams that get hot usually do pretty well in the playoffs and we want that to be us this year,” said Kaleb Simpson. “It means playing perfect baseball, but we’re capable of that.”
