Marc Adams is going out on a high note.

Earlier this year, Adams announced he is retiring as Keizer’s police chief at the end of the year.

He’s going out on top.

During an awards banquet at the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police (OACP) in Bend April 11, Adams was honored with the Paul Nagy Award, the organization’s highest honor.

“I am deeply humbled to have received this award and it should be noted that the success in my career would not have been possible without the good people, co-workers and friends I have had the opportunity to work with as a chief of police,” Adams said after receiving a standing ovation.
