The Lady Celt varsity softball team got shut out of the its Central Valley Conference opening game as it struggled to produce offense in the 2-0 loss.

The Saxons drove in two runs in the third inning to take the win and pitcher Katie Donovan retired 10 batters to stay ahead of the McNary team on Monday, April 8. At the plate, Jordyn Hanson fared best going 2 for 3 on the day. Kinsey McNaught slapped a double.

The following day, McNary traveled to play West Salem High School and took a 3-1 win.

The Celts took a 2-0 lead when Megan Ulrey hit a two-RBI double. Dani Saunders also hit a double in the outing as the Titans failed to make good on 12 baserunners.
