It’s been a bit of a maze trying to get everything into The Maze.

Jody Beck, owner of the consignment shop located at 4710 River Road North in Keizer, is looking to expand the business, started by her mom Ruth Jacobs in 1969.

“We’re looking at adding 1,000 square feet to the south side of the building,” Beck said. “We’re working with the city on the plans. It is in the drawing process.”

Jacobs remembers moving the business, originally The Dazy Maze, to its current location in 1997.

“We’ve doubled our size three times already compared to our original space,” said Jacobs, who started traveling in 2004 and handed the business over to her daughter, who was already working for her. “This is twice the size of the old building.”

The current building is 4,000 square feet, meaning it would become 5,000 square feet with the expansion.
