How about a Turkey Avocado Swiss Dog?

Or maybe a Maple Bacon Dog?

Those are just two creative flavors of hot dogs offered last week as The Dog House opened in a temporary structure at the corner of Dietz Avenue NE and River Road N, across Dietz from Arby’s. The stand officially opened Feb. 1.

“It’s been very busy, much more than we expected,” said Larry Dankenbring, who runs the stand along with wife Gina. “A lot of people have commented Keizer needed a place like this.”
