Kyle Evan Bergeland, 21, left his family and friends on November 13, 2012 while serving in the military in Ft. Hood, Texas.

Kyle was born in Keizer to Henry and Corina Bergeland, the younger of two children. He was raised in Keizer, where he had lived in the same house his entire life. He graduated from McNary High School in 2009 and joined the U.S. Army right after graduation. He served one 12-month tour in Afghanistan, earning the Army Achievement Medal while overseas.

Kyle enjoyed camping, fishing, Harley Davidsons, his pet pugs and being home. He enjoyed game nights with his friends, often hosting the guys at home or playing favorite board games with his family. Kyle had a wonderful sense of humor and his laughter could be contagious. Kyle was dating a wonderful young woman, Mickey Nichols.

Kyle is survived by his father Henry Bergeland, his mother Corina Bergeland and his older brother Tyler Bergeland. Kyle is also survived by his grandfather, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of life was held on November 26, 2012 at City View Funeral Home. Kyle was laid to rest with military honors at RestLawn Memorial Gardens.
