Just outside Keizer and east of Interstate 5 on Chemawa Road NE, you can pick up rhododendrons and lilacs in a variety of colors, plenty of hedge material, boxwood, blueberry and strawberry plants and all sorts of landscaping shrubbery. Several trees and bushes are also available.

Denny Wright, a co-owner, said plants are coming from nurseries just a couple miles down the road, including plants provided by Dwayne Olson and Jessica Ditchen. The wholesale arrangement he’s worked out can allow him to set prices as low as 50 percent compared to nearby chain stores.

“We’re able to move it at a good price,” Wright said.

Martha’s is perhaps best known for its variety of goods based on the time of year. Getting into Halloween season they’ve got pumpkins galore. At Christmas they’ve got trees, and they’ve been known to sell fireworks as well.

“We’re trying to diversify,” Wright said with a smile.

While their audience is primarily smaller-scale residential customers, Wright said they can get lots of what you’re looking for.

“If somebody comes in and says they want 20 of those trees, with a day’s notice we can go dig ‘em,” he said.
